Résumé : La Relation du Moi à Autrui est une question qui a préoccupé Levinas dans son ouvrage Totalité et Infini. En effet, après la deuxième guerre mondiale, le concept Autrui était devenu un concept essentiel dans le domaine philosophique. Ce concept joue un rôle important dans les relations interhumaines et dans la société. De ce fait la question autrui n’est pas une question nouvelle en tant que tel dans le domaine philosophique ; puisque depuis la Grèce antique avec les philosophes comme Platon, Epicure, aux temps modernes avec Hobbes jusqu’à l’ère contemporaine avec Heidegger et Sartre, cette question a été abordée d’une manière contradictoire. Influencé par toutes ces pensées et à partir de l’expérience de la deuxième guerre mondiale, Levinas nous introduit une nouvelle attitude devant autrui. Cette attitude consiste à voir une responsabilité l’égard d’autrui. L’oubli de soi et l’égoïsme face au visage d’autrui nous conduisent vers la transcendance. La pensée de Levinas est universelle ; les hommes dans un monde réel vivent avec autrui, c’est une situation inévitable. Il n’en demeure pas moins que la conception levinassienne de l’éthique, celle de l’affirmation de la prééminence de l’Autre et celle du rapport entre le Moi et l’Autre a fait l’objet des objections de la part de nombreux auteurs dont Maurice Blanchot, Paul Ricœur et Sartre

Abstract : The relationship between the Self and the other is a question that preoccupied Levinas in his book Totality and Infinity. Indeed, after the Second World War, the concept of the other had become the essential question in the philosophical domain. This concept plays an important role in human relations and in society. Obviously the question of the other is not a new concept in the philosophical domain; from ancient Greece and philosophers like Plato, Epicurus, Hobbes to the contemporary era with Heidegger and Sartre have addressed this question in a controversial manner. Influenced by all these thoughts and from the experience of the Second World War, Levinas introduces us to a new attitude towards others. This attitude consists of absolute responsibility and non-response for others. Forgetting oneself and selfishness in the face of others leads us towards transcendence. Levinas’ thought is universal; men in the real world and in the fictional world find themselves facing others, it is unevitable situation. However, objections by Maurice Blanchot, Paul Ricoeur, Sartre and others have been formulated with regard to the Levinasian conception of ethics and that of the affirmation of the pre-eminence of the other and the relationship between the Self and the other.
