ABSTRACT
The colonial administration decided to create an agricultural colony in Agoudou-Manga located more than 48 kilometers from Bambari in the Ouaka which houses the health sector n° 4 for several reasons: firstly, the agricultural villages are built to replace the old villages of segregation ; secondly to isolate lepers, whose numbers have been steadily increasing in order to receive care, and thirdly to teach people with leprosy to take care of themselves. This is how harnessed agriculture was tested with the support of the Catholic Church and the Central African government.
With the arrival of the nuns, this agricultural colony has become a real hospital in which the leper receives the appropriate care for his total recovery.
